Throughout his career, he has worked with many major theater directors including Estelle Parsons, Ellen Stewart, Jerome RoBbins, Julie Taymor, Sir Peter Hall, John Dexter, Andre Serban, and Elizabeth Swados. YUKIO TSUJI ( Composer and Performer) Yukio Tsuji (shakuhachi, percussion) has collaborated on more than 200 productions over the years. Her one woman show, Surfing My DNA, garnered her an Ovation Nomination for Best Solo Performance. Long wrote and co-produced the award winning documentary Long Story Short about her vaudevillian parents. Jodi Long made her Broadway debut at age 7 in Nowhere To Go But Up directed by Sidney Lumet, the first of 5 Broadway shows: Loose Ends with Kevin Kline, The Bacchae with Irene Papas, Stephen Sondheim’s Getting Away With Murder and the revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Flower Drum Song, for which she won an Ovation Award at The Mark Taper Forum. Combining a family’s journey, show business history and the ravages of racism, it is a tale of humor, passion, and perseverance against insurmountable odds. Surfing My DNA is the true story of a popular husband and wife nightclub act of the ’40s and ’50s narrated and framed by the experiences of their daughter, Jodi.
